Well it has been an interesting one. On Wednesday, January 27th I saw the OBGYN who decided to go ahead and induce me. My step mom Ginny came to town to help out and was able to see her first ultrasound that day as well. So I got my call at 7:30am Thursday, January 28th. I was scheduled to go in for 8:00am. We headed in only to be sent home due to an emergency at the hospital. So I went home with Ginny and Toby headed to work to take care of some things. By about 3:15pm I had enough with sitting at home waiting for the call so I went out for some air. Then at 3:30 Ginny called to inform me I had to be at the hospital as soon as I can to be induced so off we went. At 4:30pm they inserted my cervadil. Toby made it to the hospital shortly after and then my eldest sister Michelle and my niece Kirstyn came from Pemberton to watch the birth. My contractions had started almost right away however were quite far appart. I had to be at the hospital for 2 hours before going any further. By 6pm my contractions were steady and about 2 minutes appart. By 6:30pm they sent me home where my girlfriend Annick met me. We all hung out at the house until close to 10pm I decided we needed to go and get checked. After arriving at the hospital I was only 3 cm but my contractions were about 1.5minutes appart. 10:24pm things picked up as my water broke. I was still only 4cm but was increasing rapidly. Landen joined the party at 11:40pm after not wanting to come out (his shoulder was stuck). So another quick delivery, however this is the last as I think if I keep going they will keep increasing. Levi was 10 days late and 6lbs 13ozs being 20.5inches long and Landen was one day early and 8lbs 15ozs being 22.5inches long. So 2lbs heavier and 2inches longer.... thanks to Dr Murray, Resident Dr Moodie, LDR Nurses Kate & Melissa and a huge thank you to Annick for helping me stay focussed. Thank you to my wonderful step mother Ginny for helping me out before during and after, and to my sister Michelle and niece Kirstyn for sharing the day with us. Pictures below... Enjoy
