Just a Little Update

Well Toby is away in Stewart right now snowmobiling and has the camera so no new photos except for this one. I went to the hospital last week to get Landen's hearing tests complete and decided to stop in to see my friends at the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation. While I was there visiting my girlfriend snapped this adorible shot.

As most people know, our eldest son Levi loves to entertain, sing and play instruments. Well one night he came running out of his room wearing just his guitar. I am sure one day he will want to kill me for this, but I couldn't help myself it is too precious. Enjoy!
So when Toby gets home tomorrow I will be able to post some new pictures and maybe some from his sledding adventures. He and his friends from Pemberton and PG head up every year usually during the Christmas break. Since the snow was not ideal the guys headed to Pemberton during the break and decided to do their Stewart trip now. I guess the snow is still not ideal, however their weather has been great and have been having a great time.
Till next time...

So the last week and a half have been good. I have lost allot of my pregnant belly weight and was able to fit into my Jeans yesterday. I felt soo good. So Levi, Landen and I went shopping at the Bay. Levi got his hair cut and I bought us all Team Canada Shirts. Took a bunch of picutres as I thought everyone looked so cute.

Daddy and his boys

Levi such a proud big brother to not so little Landen

Here is Landen in the outfit his dad bought him to come home from the hospital in. It has a matching hat as well. Too cute. The outfit we origionally purchased to bring him home in was too small.

Here is Landen in an outfit I purchased for his cousin Owen when he was born. We got to borrow it which made me happy because it is way too cute.
The weather has been great here in Prince George and today is a beautiful sunny day. I was hoping to take the kids and dog for a walk, however I don't have the right stroller to take both kids in so it will have to wait for another day or when Toby doesn't have to work. Tomorrow Levi starts swimming lessons again so every Monday & Wednesday is swimming and then Tuesday & Thursday is preschool. I have also looked into story times at the library to start taking the boys to and on Thursday's when it is just Landen and I we can walk to the drop in for a weigh in and then go to stars and strollers at the theatre. I hope to make the best out of having this year with my boys.

Welcome Landen Roy Cartwright

Well it has been an interesting one. On Wednesday, January 27th I saw the OBGYN who decided to go ahead and induce me. My step mom Ginny came to town to help out and was able to see her first ultrasound that day as well. So I got my call at 7:30am Thursday, January 28th. I was scheduled to go in for 8:00am. We headed in only to be sent home due to an emergency at the hospital. So I went home with Ginny and Toby headed to work to take care of some things. By about 3:15pm I had enough with sitting at home waiting for the call so I went out for some air. Then at 3:30 Ginny called to inform me I had to be at the hospital as soon as I can to be induced so off we went. At 4:30pm they inserted my cervadil. Toby made it to the hospital shortly after and then my eldest sister Michelle and my niece Kirstyn came from Pemberton to watch the birth. My contractions had started almost right away however were quite far appart. I had to be at the hospital for 2 hours before going any further. By 6pm my contractions were steady and about 2 minutes appart. By 6:30pm they sent me home where my girlfriend Annick met me. We all hung out at the house until close to 10pm I decided we needed to go and get checked. After arriving at the hospital I was only 3 cm but my contractions were about 1.5minutes appart. 10:24pm things picked up as my water broke. I was still only 4cm but was increasing rapidly. Landen joined the party at 11:40pm after not wanting to come out (his shoulder was stuck). So another quick delivery, however this is the last as I think if I keep going they will keep increasing. Levi was 10 days late and 6lbs 13ozs being 20.5inches long and Landen was one day early and 8lbs 15ozs being 22.5inches long. So 2lbs heavier and 2inches longer.... thanks to Dr Murray, Resident Dr Moodie, LDR Nurses Kate & Melissa and a huge thank you to Annick for helping me stay focussed. Thank you to my wonderful step mother Ginny for helping me out before during and after, and to my sister Michelle and niece Kirstyn for sharing the day with us. Pictures below... Enjoy
